The exhibition "NEW YORK NEW YORK. The rediscovery of America: Italian Art form Futurism to Pop Art", curated by Francesco Tedeschi, illustrates
Italian art production from Futurism to the late sixties of the twentieth century, through
works that have been developed after the artists' confrontation with North American reality, or which
have been exhibited in major exhibitions dedicated to Italian art in the United States.

Somaini is exposed in the spaces of the Gallerie d'Italia in Piazza Scala with two large
works, Proposal for a monument of 1961, related to the Baltimora monumental project, and
Prometheus of 1963, exposed in the solo exhibition of 1964 at Galleria Odyssia in New York.
These sculptures illustrate the dialogue between the sculptural language and the city landscape..
