Biblioteca Parco Sempione, Milano
The Padiglione di Soggiorno celebrates 70 years: an important occasion to tell, through historical photos, how the architecture that is experienced daily was born, in which the large concrete sculpture Grande motivo Donna che legge (1953) by Francesco Somaini is also contextualized.
With the collaboration of Fondazione La Triennale di Milano – Archivi and Pinacoteca civica di Como, Fondo Ico Parisi, the exhibition follows the first months of the Pavilion’s life, from the design idea to its delivery to the Municipality of Milan. The exhibition, together with listening to the audio guide, offers a look that, from the past, reaches the present of a living and open space such as the Parco library.
