Presentation of the book “Here is elsewhere. Of the Sacred and the spiritual in contemporary art”

As part of BookCity, at the Fondazione Culturale San Fedele in Milan, on Sunday 17 November at 5:00 p.m., the event Between matter and spirit: contemporary art and elsewhere will be held, with the presentation of the volume Here is elsewhere. Of the sacred and the spiritual in contemporary art by Francesco Tedeschi, published by Vita&Pensiero.

The art of the 20th and 21st centuries shows a particular tension towards the sacred and the spiritual: both at the level of artistic experiences and in themes and subjects. Professor Tedeschi has had several contacts with artists who have measured themselves against these categories, has had numerous opportunities for discussion on these themes and has curated several exhibitions. Among these, Somaini. Alle origine del sacro, held from 9 November 2023 to 30 June 2024 at the Somaini Foundation, of which Professor Tedeschi is also a member of the scientific committee.
