On Thursday 8 October 2020 from 16.00 to 18.00 the conference “Care as a theme for innovation” for Milano Design City will be held at the Palazzina Liberty in Largo Marinai d’Italia.

Organized by the Area Porta Romana district and edited by prof. Fulvio Irace (Politecnico di Milano), the event will be dedicated to the themes of safeguarding and redeveloping the architectural heritage of the city, starting from the project for the arrangement of Largo Marinai d’Italia (1965-68), as a historical example of good urban and landscape requalification due to the fruitful collaboration between the architect Luigi Caccia Dominioni and the sculptor Francesco Somaini, author of a monumental work overlooking the water of a large fountain, embellishing the garden.

Speakers will include, among others, prof. Fulvio Irace, prof. Luisa Somaini and prof. Francesco Tedeschi.
